Uist Pods Self Catering Pod

Croisgeir Pod was our first pod we built beside our home on the croft and has a special place in our hearts. Our other Self Catering Pod is Hoilisgeir Self Catering Pod.

The Pod allowed us the opportunity to allow visitors to enjoy what we enjoy every day. A short walk to the Machair and down to the beach. To be part of a working croft and part of our lives, and best of all, to experience the huge sky above, which everyone comments on.

We can’t change the weather, that is the fun of living on the Outer Hebrides, guaranteed every day will be different. From roasting hot calm days to gale force winds, we have it all.

In your pod, you will be sheltered from the rain and storms, and there is an outside area for you to sit and relax when the weather is good.

Our pods are fully self catering. With a good double bed, bathroom and living area you won’t need much to enjoy your stay, whether it is for one night or a week.

The kitchen allows guests the opportunity to cook for themselves, make a cuppa or to butter a quick piece (sandwich) and get out and explore. That is after all why you are here.

Our pods are fully equipped with lights, heating and electricity and comfy for a relaxing evening in. We’ll mention the TV, but we can say without a doubt, the scenery is far more exciting to be looking at and when you get in after a good day of adventure you can fall to sleep without the noise of main roads or neighbours.

Be sure to listen out for the Corncrake, Waders and Curlews and fall asleep watching the stars pass overhead.

*Please note, we do not accept dogs unfortunately due our Pods being located on a croft with livestock.
